I’m an American who has traveled the world full-time for nine years. These days, I spend most of my time in Bali, Indonesia, with my wife, Intan.

My love for travel began in 2016 on a solo trip across Iceland. With a tight budget, I spent a month sleeping in the back of a rental car, covering 7,000 kilometers while capturing Iceland’s breathtaking landscapes on film. One of my early videos went viral, racking up millions of views and even being featured on BBC Travel.

Since then, I’ve traveled solo to dozens of developing countries, exploring nearly every nation in Asia, Central America, and the Middle East. Along the way, I’ve experienced everything from natural disasters to unexpected adventures, including:

Witnessing the 7.0 Lombok earthquake in Indonesia (2018)
Being in Bangkok during the 2019 bombings
Encountering scams, sicknesses, car accidents, and other wild experiences
Despite the challenges, travel has blessed me with incredible moments, such as:

Hiking to Mount Everest Base Camp in the Himalayas
Climbing an erupting volcano in Guatemala
Trekking on glaciers in Patagonia and marveling at Iguazu Falls in Argentina
Spotting wild Komodo dragons and orangutans in Indonesia
Sleeping in treehouses in Bali and witnessing blue fire in Java
Sampling tarantulas and scorpions in Cambodia
Riding a camel to the Great Pyramids of Giza in Egypt
Skydiving over paradise in Oahu, Hawaii
Visiting legendary world monuments like the Taj Mahal, Machu Picchu, Petra, Angkor Wat, Hagia Sophia, Tikal, Bagan, and Himeji Castle
In 2018, I set a personal record by traveling to 24 countries in a single year—all on a modest budget, rarely spending more than $30 per day, including lodging and food.

I haven’t been everywhere yet, but it’s all on my list! I’m always searching for the next adventure.
